Our Chicks area provides a warm, nurturing environment where each baby's emotional, social and sensory development is encouraged in a holistic manner.
To assist with ensuring that each child feels happy and secure within the nursery we have a Key Worker scheme to help children settle in; to ensure continuity of care and to facilitate the partnership with parents and carers. Whilst the Key Worker will be principally responsible for the care of your child in their Key Worker Group all other qualified members of staff assigned to the room will be involved in the day to day care of your child and will be able to provide any information required by you or carers.
We offer a daily programme which is based on the framework, "Birth to Three: supporting our youngest children". This programme is sufficiently flexible to take into account each child's individual requirements. A range of age specific books and toys is provided as well as a selection of natural materials to stimulate and entertain each child. Weather permitting the Chicks are taken outdoors to the garden or on walks to local parks.
Your baby's daily activities of feeding, playing and sleeping are reported to you on collection allowing you to be fully informed of their progress.
